D/B Repair/Replace Door Closures & Hardware Bldg. 8500, Vandenberg AFB, CA

Project was a design build contract for the US Air Force to replace fourteen door closure mechanisms with new Besam SW200i automatic closures. Six sets of double doors and two single doors for eight locations. Modify the configuration above the door to support the applicable new hardware and 110v electrical requirement needed for the automatic closures to function including battery back-up in case of power failures, and the new automatic door closures had to be compatible with the existing electronic card readers located outside of the building.
